In reply to your letter of November 30, we have checked our records and find the following:

Your 1937 income from Resettlement Administration was on a salary basis (this salary of course was in addition to your travel expenses: i.e., per diem, mileage, etc.). From Sept. 1, 1935 to Dec. 9, 1937 (the date of your resignation) you were employed by the Resettlement Administration, Inf. Div., Berkeley, Calif. and Washington, D.C., as a xxxx Photographer-Investigrator at $2300.00.

From October, 1938, when you started back with us, until the close of business on January 2, 1941 you were employed by the Farm Security Administration on a salary basis, first at $2300.00 and later at $2600.00 (the salary of course was in addition to your travel expenses).
